What You Need to Know for Election Day
In less than 24 hours, Election Day will be underway. Voting is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. You must be in line by 7 p.m. in order to vote.
Make sure you have a valid photo ID with a signature to vote.
On the ballot are candidates for Senate, Governor, Attorney General and more. You can learn about who is running by visiting local news sites. You can also learn about the different amendments on the ballot.
For Hillsborough County, visit the voting website to print out a sample ballot. For other counties, visit WFLA to find sample ballots.
It’s suggested you fill out a sample ballot and bring it with you. That way, you can take the time to consider your voting decisions before you get to the polling place. This is one way you can help keep the lines moving.

War Veteran Relieved After Sentencing of Man Who Attacked Him
A man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison after beating up a war veteran with his own walker.
Harold Stewart approached Jeffrey Hardeman in a Walmart parking lot back in 2016. Stewart beat up Hardman and got away with $700 and Hardeman’s walker.
Stewart was on a robbery probation when he attacked Hardeman. Hardeman is thankful for the sentencing.
“I just don’t want him to be on the street again and do it to someone else that might now be as lucky and not get hurt like I got hurt,” said Hardeman.
After Hardeman was attacked, people came forward with donations and bought the veteran a new walker.
Stewart remains adamant that it wasn’t him and says he will continue to fight.
