A University of South Florida student and his wife designed the highest rated escape room in Tampa with over 600 five-star reviews on Google.
Last year Mike and Hayley Linquist opened Imagine Escape Games. Their passion for seeing people connect inspired them to open this business. The game is set so that players are locked in a room and must solve clues to escape before time runs out. All the rooms vary in difficulty.
“It’s basically a 60-minute timed live action puzzle game that you do with your friends and family,” said Mike Linquist.
Imagine Escape Games is unique because of its connected storyline. Each escape room is a chapter from the storybook called, “The GameMasters Legacy.” All the game pieces are hand-made by Linguist.
“I kind of just have to feel it as I go,” said Mike Linquist. “It’s kind of a very creative process. It is kind of like art but with building puzzles.”
Phones are locked away for people to have the full experience.
“To get out, it relies on communication and teamwork, so you have to work together,” Hayley Linquist said.
The Linquists make it a point to have customers leave with a smile. The amusement center is rated five-stars on Google.
“There is no book on how to design awesome escape rooms people like and leave great reviews for, there is no book,” Mike Linquist said.
“We are so personally invested in every person that comes in the door because this is our baby we have created, and we are sharing it with the world,” Hayley Linquist said.
Escape Authority ranked Imagine Escape Games third in the nation.
Imagine Escape Games is located on 2830 E. Bearss Ave. Ticket minimum vary based on the day. To book a room now or learn more about Imagine Escape Games go to imagineescape.com
