Student Stabbed After Fight
A teenage girl was stabbed at a bus stop in St. Petersburg this morning after a fight with another student.
The two girls were involved in an ongoing disagreement, when one girl stabbed the other in the back as a school bus approached. She then ran onto the bus.
The injured girl was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, and is expected to survive.
The suspect was taken into custody and is facing two felony charges of aggravated battery and possession of a weapon on school property.
USF Morsani College Banner
Today, USF unveiled a 90-foot banner at the site of the new Morsani College of Medicine in Water Street Tampa.
Construction on the 13-story high rise tower began last summer, in 2017, and is expected to be completed next year.
The building will soon be home to 1,800 students, researchers, faculty, and staff. The site itself is within a mile of Tampa General Hospital, which is USF’s primary teaching hospital.
The proximity to Tampa General Hospital will make it easier for the students to work with and learn from the doctors there.
