Unlicensed Contractors
Pinellas County deputies are wrapping up a crackdown on unlicensed contractors.
Deputies arrested 39 people in Operation Punch List. Sheriff Bob Gualtieri said homeowners should do their homework when it comes to hiring contractors.
Unlicensed contractors may not carry insurance. This means customers could be at risk if workers get hurt on the job.
This is the fifth undercover operation the Sheriff’s Office has conducted since 2017. They have arrested 142 people representing nearly $700,000 worth of unlicensed work.
