The Pace Center for Girls is a gender responsive program designed to help girls involved in the juvenile justice system. Located across Florida, Pace is recognized as a national model for improving girls’ success.

“We really want to provide a comprehensive approach to changing the direction of our girls’ lives,” said Davia Lerebours, executive director.

The program provides emotional and psychological counseling for the girls and their families. Social Service Manager, Stephanie Koszalka, shares the purpose behind these programs.

“The idea really is to shape them and empower them to realize their worth and self-esteem,” Koszalka said. “To build their strengths up and provide them with the caring and support that they need to be successful.”

The program has been proven to work and help set girls up for a better future.

“Our outcomes are amazing. 97% of our girls who come to pace are not rearrested within one year of being in the center, and that for me speaks volumes,” Lerebours said.
