Luxury Forbes is a gifted Tampa rapper in the making. He was in choir as a child. Then, tried sports and inevitably made his way back to music. His cousin, who also raps, took him to a studio session, and the rest was history.
Some of Forbes’ songs are about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His fans are appreciative of his versatility and enthusiastic nature. His music is available on all major streaming platforms, like Apple Music, and he has an album dropping next year!
“His music is heartfelt. He goes deep with it,” says Matthew Smith, a supporter of Forbes’ work.
Popstroke golf course brings mini-golf upscale
Alaina Shaffer loves her life as a Popstroke manager. She knew nothing of golf when she applied for the job, but she’s been with the company for two years and has grown to love the environment.
Her initial interest in the job came from the news of Tiger Woods’ partnership with Popstroke and its founder, Greg Bartoli.
The establishment was founded in 2018 and has branches in Orlando, Sarasota, Fort Myers and Port St. Lucie. A new opening is coming to Wesley Chapel later this year. Basically, Popstroke is upscale mini golf, made really fun.
“Popstroke is very different from traditional mini putt-putt, as most of us grew up with,” says Kenneth R. Kennerly, the establishment’s senior advisor. He describes it as a “modified golf course,” or a “reduced size putting course.”
The Sarasota location is hosting the Inaugural Popstroke Tour Championship Oct. 26-28, with a prize pool of $125,000.
