Russian Hacking

The Mueller report is now public.

According to the report, Russian hackers gained access to the computer network of at least one Florida County.

The FBI found that a Russian Intelligence agency sent emails to over 120 accounts of officials who were responsible for the 2016 election. They found GRU, Russia’s foreign military intelligence agency, to be responsible for sending these emails.

The emails contained word documents that included malicious software and gave hackers access to infected computers.

“We understand the FBI believes that this operation enabled the GRU to gain access to the network of at least one Florida county government,” the report said.

Broadcaster Arrested

A local sports broadcaster has been arrested for soliciting a 14-year-old boy.

According to the Tampa police, Justin Pawlowski sent explicit photos to who he believed was a teenage boy. Police say he expressed interest in meeting a teenage boy and engaging in sexual acts with him.

Pawlowski formerly worked in radio and hosted his own podcast called Bucs Uncensored.

Red Flag Display

It is sexual assault awareness month.

Today the center for victim advocacy and violence prevention at USF hosted a red flag campaign. The red flags symbolize warning signs for dating violence.

According to the 2011 college dating violence and abuse poll, one in five college students experience dating violence.

Students wrote their own messages on red flags about the signs of abusive relationships. These signs can include coercion, jealousy, stalking, emotional abuse and victim blaming.

Busch Gardens New Roller Coaster

Busch Gardens will open the long awaited ride “Tigris” tomorrow.

Busch Gardens pass-holders will be able to preview the ride today.

The new thrill ride is billed as Florida’s tallest launch coaster.

The Tigris catapults riders backwards through a 150-foot skyward surge and an inverted heart line roll. Tigris will be the park’s ninth roller coaster.

Notre Dame Homage

Artists at the Clearwater Beach sugar sand festival pay tribute to the Notre Dame Cathedral.

On April 15th, the world was shocked to see the historic cathedral ablaze.

These artists have created this sculpture in honor of the fire ravaged landmark. This sculpture will be on display through April 28th.
