The Sarasota Police Department is conducting an investigation after children find human remains
“These human remains were located in a small body of water in the 1900 block of Gillespie Avenue,” said Public Information Officer, Genevieve Judge. “And when they were located they were skeletal remains; however, detectives are unable to determine how long they were there.”
It happened yesterday afternoon while the kids were playing outside. They called for an adult, who then called 911. Law enforcement officials say identifying the remains could take several weeks.
