Friday Focus: Tampa Night Market

Here is Friday’s top story from Florida Focus.

Tampa Night Market

Are you a Tampa local looking for something fun to do to kickstart your weekend? Join us Nov. 29 for the monthly Tampa Night Market, featuring 40 local vendors bringing their art, food and entertainment to their booths. The market is held between the Tampa City Center and the Hilton.

This all-ages event is a great way to get out there and talk to others in your community. Dona Crowley, the event organizer, thinks this is a great way for locals to come show their love and support for their city.

This event will feature “trendy” local businesses that make their own merchandise from their place of work, whether it be an actual building or just their homes.

“For a lot of these vendors, this is their business, a way for them to get their products out there in the community, so it’s good for them as well,” said Crowley.

Bree Sparks, cookie dough connoisseur and creator of Fro-dough, talks about the tight-knit community among the vendors, and how she has bonded with a lot of the other vendors.

“Interacting with the other vendors has been really great,” said Sparks. “They’ve been really friendly. We’ve liked each other back on Facebook. This has probably been one of the events that I’ve become friends with the most vendors.”

This coming market will be extra special due to the fact that autumn is on its way, and Tampa is ready for it. The October Market was filled with booths set up for pumpkin carving and painting, among other fall-related activities.

Whether you’re in the mood to blow that last paycheck, or just have a good night and get out of the house for a bit, the Tampa Night Market is wonderful.
