A former president was arrested Tuesday for the first time in U.S. history after turning himself in.
Donald Trump was officially charged by New York’s Supreme Court with falsifying business records Tuesday after weeks of confusion after the announcement of his original indictment. This was carried out in order to conceal damaging information and illegal activity both before and after the 2016 election, the charges say.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg spoke about the 34 false statements made by Trump related to falsifying statements on business records.
“The defendant repeatedly made false statements on New York business records. He also caused others to make false statements. The defendant claimed he was paying Michael Cohen for legal services performed in 2017. This simply was not true,” Bragg said.
USF bans TikTok from university wireless network
The Florida Board of Governors passed an emergency regulation to hasten the implementation of Regulation 3.0075, which gives the State University System of Florida the power to prohibit access to websites and social media channels that pose a threat to individual privacy and national security.
The State University System of Florida released guidelines on how universities should begin to implement security plans against the banned applications.
“Each university shall develop and annually review and update an information security plan. Each plan may be customized to meet the specific conditions at each university but shall be based upon best practices acquired from recognized national industry standards,” the State University System of Florida said.
