Monday marks a new milestone in Busch Gardens history as they open a brand new thrill ride, the Serengeti Flyer. This new ride is the world’s tallest and fastest screaming swing. It gives riders a bird’s-eye view of the entire park which includes Busch Gardens’ most notable rollercoasters and their 65-acre Serengeti plain.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay opened its doors in 1959 by Anheuser-Busch, Inc., since then the theme park has changed ownership to SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, Inc. and has experienced major growth over the years.
“The whole ride time is a little over a minute and a half, so it is a pretty decent ride time. The ride holds 40 people and the height requirement is 48 inches so that means a lot of the family can ride this attraction,” said Corporate Director of Project Management for SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, Andrew Schaffer.
The Serengeti Flyer is located in the middle of the park, right behind the elephant enclosure and just past the animal care center.
