Women’s basketball has maintained its dominance in the conference after winning against Tulsa in their final home game last Wednesday. The team has had an impressive year with only five losses on the record. The last game was also women’s basketball’s senior night, which meant a lot to departing seniors Elena Tsineke and Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu.
“We are one hell of a family, like we really close together and it’s amazing,” said Mendjiadeu. “The coaches everybody, we just have each others back.”
Over their careers, Tsineke has scored over 1,500 points and Mendjiadeu has over 1,000 rebounds. Tulsa put up a fight, but the Bulls’ were able to clinch the win 93-83. The home advantage helps in games like these, according to Junior Sammy Puisis.
“It’s more than just a game. You know were playing for USF were representing them and all of our fans,” said Puisis. “So we really try to protect our home court, it means more to us when we play at home.”

The Bulls played very strong in the last game for home fans. USF led the first half by 15 points thanks to powerful plays from Senior Keyshawn Bryant and Junior Selton Miguel. USF student Kimon Eloi said he was very impressed with Bryant’s performance.
“Bryant that’s my guy right there looking at him he led the team in the most points tonight,” said Eloi. “Looking forward I’m going to have pay attention and see what he does down the stretch.”
